Third Stop: Whitsunday Islands

It’s friday morning 7am. I need to hurry ’cause i’m late, but well that’s nothing new.10am, we finally made it to our boat, three days of sailing are about to start and I’m pretty excited.

First about the bed dorms: In my room were a few German girls and there has immediately been a great vibe!! But to be back on deck. Once out of the harbor, we started to sail. It was just unbelievable, my feet dangling in turquoise blue water, which slowly turned into a deeper blue, the sky was covered with white clouds, but they slowly disappeared from the sky and in the distance you could see green islands with incredible white beaches untouched and silent, looking somehow magical. Nobody said something. Everyone enjoyed the moment.

Later that day, we anchored to go diving. We all got an introduction first, then it started. Stinger suit, scuba tank, vest, belt, fins and mask: we were well equipped. And now we are ready to go into the depth. I honestly panicked about this thought, 9 meters deep and I do not know what to expect. But I tried it. And once I was down there, I could not let my eyes off. It was amazing! I saw thousands of colorful fish, always others, sometimes blue with yellow tail fins, then big dark red, orange blue striped ones, or just white.. Well, there was just everything. In between, there were always small corals, from bright red to yellow, and and and .. But I was so fascinated by the shoals of fish that swam with us in unison, that I could not concentrate on anything else.

The day was coming to an end and we were all exhausted from this incredible day! Together we all sat on deck and ate dinner together. The sun was sinking red in the sea and slowly it became dark … We girls lay together on the deck and watched the stars, one could think and everything passed, because I was tied up at that moment. But at some point I fell asleep, ’cause i’m too tired!

The alarm rang, Saturday, 5:30 am. We got up and watched the beautiful sunrise above the famous whitehaven beach… Brushing teeth and looking at one of the most amazing places in the world has always been my dream!

And so the next two days went by, and in the end I can say it was one of the best trips of my life and I got to know the best people there..!
